Buddies!

These two get closer and closer each day. They still fight like crazy, but they love each other. A couple of days ago I was putting Kaia to bed and Soren begged for me to let her stay awake, he wanted her to stay and play with him! It's really cute seeing them develop a bond of friendship!! We had a lazy day at home today, here's a picture of them curled up on the chair together (they did this on their own):

Get Lucky 7k and Half Marathon

What a fun weekend! This weekend Marty's family came to Lakeville for the weekend. Marty and Luke ran the Get Lucky 1/2 marathon together and Andrea and I ran the 7k. It was so fun going as a group! We're really excited that they made the trip. After the race we headed over to the hotel and let the kids play with their cousins and swim for a while. Soren enjoyed the big slide while Kaia enjoyed the toddler area.

Kaia loves her red shoes!! Last night she cried when I took them off for bed. This morning when I went in her room to wake her up I found them on her feet :). Here she is this AM:

Storytime

We've been letting Kaia stay up a little later with the daylight savings change in time… so her and Soren have been doing story time together. Here's a couple of pics I snapped in the middle of our book time last night… along with a fantastic pic that Ken took of Kaia this weekend.

Skating Lessons

Soren did awesome today-- he was adorable and loved it. I'm a bit biased, but I think he's a natural :) He learned how to get up from falling, how to get on and off the ice and how to "march" on the ice. They even played a game where they had to hop in the air and then grab a dinosaur and put it into a bucket. Soren was thrilled that dinosaurs made their way into the lessons!!

Skating with Soren

I've been meaning to get Soren out on ice skates this year, since time is running out for open skating times we decided to go on Wednesday night. Soren and I had a blast-- he was really bummed he didn't get a hockey stick though... I told him he has to earn it, once he can skate fast he'll get one.

Since he had such a great time we got him enrolled in classes that start tomorrow AM! I'll post an update on those soon.

Sunday Night Skiing

Marty took Soren skiing last night-- he was thrilled. Kaia was extremely sad that they left without her (she also heard the "magic carpet" mentioned so for a while she thought they were going to Disney World without her). Soren came home jumping up and down he was so excited.



Soren let Kaia wear his pants and gave her a hug to try and make her feel better.

Soren's Weekend

Soren is feeling much better (now Kaia has it though…). Grandma Carrot (Karen) and Gandpa Dan came to visit us this weekend. Soren and Grandpa worked on some paper airplane together.

Night #2

I had to work late so Marty had to bathe the kids and pit Kaia bear to bed. Kaia LOVES bath time and it's extremely difficult to get her out of the tub, but tonight Marty told her if she got out she'd get to go to bed in her big girl bed, so guess what?? Kaia leaped out of the tub!!! She's got a lot of determination, don't ever underestimate her!!!

I snuck in Kaia's room tonight and got this picture....I think she's comfy :)



No updates on Soren lately... Sorry :(. The poor little dude has been fighting a cough this week so he's been a but more low key.
