We let Soren and Kaia wind down each day with 1 episode of TV. Their favorites are Jungle Junction, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Little Einsteins. They are becoming better buddies each day. Here's how they've liked to lay on the couch lately.

Grandpa's daycare

Grandpa came down to be with us this weekend. Yesterday he was helping Kaia get her hair done after she woke up.



Today grandpa is helping us out a ton by watching the kids while we race in Stillwater. Here's us before the race (Marty had just put a piece of gum in his mouth):

Birthday dinner!

We had the best night tonight! It was kids night at bonfire (a restaurant we enjoy) so we decided to give it a try. They had build your own pizzas for the kids a balloon guy and build your own sundaes! The kids thought it was fantastic and I think we'll be back again soon :)

A Day on Grandpa's Farm

The weather forecast was rain in Lakeville, and my long run was done for the week. So Soren, Kaia and I decided to make a quick day trip up to Park Rapids to see Grandpa and meet Rio's new baby Oreo (Kaia came up with the name). It was a lot of driving, but the kids were excellent and we had a ton of fun. We sang silly songs for 6+ hours of the 8 hours in the car so I might need a break from my ipod for a little bit...

Soren got new rain gear at the kids sale last week. He LOVES it and is now the only kid in Minnesota that's hoping for rain everyday....

Mother's Day

Marty had the kids waiting for me when I got home from the race.

We went to Axels for a fantastic brunch and you can see that Kaia loves her cupcake!

Last day of skating lessons

Today was Soren's last day of skating lessons. He'll probably go again, but will take a break for the summer (at least that's the plan for now). He did great, had a ton of fun, and tested out of two levels!


Kaia brought her bunny along today. She had fun eating breakfast and watching Soren skate, but I think she might be ready for a break from skating too :)

Kids Date night with Mommy!

On Thursday night Marty went cycling so I had a "date night" with the kids. I had some errands to run so we headed up to the Mall of America. It was a beautiful day outside, so we felt a little guilty being inside, but this also meant that the mall was EMPTY, so that was fantastic! We ate a crepe together, walked through the theme park and watched the roller coasters, played at lego land and built new friends.

Here's the kids playing at lego land (they were the only ones there). They love this place!!

After our trip to lego land I let the kids go and build a bear and the build a bear store. The kids were thrilled and are very excited about their new friends :)
